I’m writing this to you because I don’t know the direct address of the responsible WP developer.
The current version of the automatic update from WP is unreasonable and should be adjusted immediately! When updating, pages are completely paralyzed if an error occurs with a plugin or theme. The admin gets a succinct message and the site is offline. This is a total NO GO! If an error occurs, the update system should abort the update and send a message. But leave the site online.
I don’t know if the developers are aware of the business-damaging effects of suddenly shutting down a shop just because the theme can’t answer a trivial PHP query.
