The site’s primary goals are to raise awareness around Acumen’s mission, create opportunities for engagement, receive donations and recognize the people who are creating real solutions to poverty.
Why it’s in the Showcase: Acumen.org maximizes WordPress’s plattform to create an easy-to-use CMS that beautifully aligns with Acumen’s brand. The site is developed in HTML5 and includes the latest in ajax loading, infinity scrolling and javascript functionality. WordPress Custom Post Types make content creation straight-forward and easy to use. A number of custom plug-ins maximize social media sharing opportunities throughout the site. A custom tagging system aggregates blog content to pre-determined sections throughout the site. The backend includes full integration with Google Analytics as well as Acumen’s CRM plattform, Convio, which allows for a seamless donation process as well as easy contact list building.
